How to Take Classes at De Anza
... While You Are Enrolled at Another School
This webpage provides important information for F-1 Visa students who are enrolled at another college or university and want to take classes at De Anza.
If You Are Already Enrolled At

Foothill College
Follow these steps:
- Contact the International Student Programs office at Foothill College.
- Fill out and submit the OpenCCC application for De Anza College. This is the same application used by U.S. students. Print out the confirmation page (the last page of the online application).
- Submit the approval letter and signed application confirmation page to the Admissions and Records Office at De Anza. (You can meet with an Admissions and Records representative in person or online. Check the Admissions and Records website for information on how to arrange a meeting.)
- Pay your fees no later than five days after registering, to avoid being dropped from those classes.
- For summer classes, you must pay immediately after course registration to avoid being dropped from those classes.

Another U.S. College or University
Follow these steps:
- Fill out and submit the OpenCCC application for De Anza College. This is the same application used by U.S. students. Print out the confirmation page (the last page of the online application).
- Have the confirmation page signed by a representative from the international students program at your school
- Submit the following documents to the Admissions and Records Office at De Anza:
- Signed confirmation page of your De Anza application
- Signed permission letter from your school
- Copy of your current Form I-20
- Foothill College students must bring an approval letter from the Foothill International Student Programs office.
- Pay your fees no later than five days after registering, to avoid being dropped from those classes.
- For summer classes you must pay your fees immediately after course registration to avoid being dropped from those classes.

Remember
When you submit your documents to De Anza's Admissions and Records Office, be sure to state that you are an F-1 Visa student applying for concurrent enrollment at De Anza and another college or university.
Important Notes About Registering for Classes
- You may register online starting on the registration date that is posted for you. To find your registration date and to register for classes, log into MyPortal.
