Celebrating Pride Month
In honor of Pride Month, we’re highlighting Dr. Rusty Barrett, a linguist and professor at the University of Kentucky. In his book From Drag Queens to Leathermen, Dr. Barrett explores how language, race, region, and class intersect in powerful ways. His work reminds us that language is more than a tool for communication—it’s a reflection of identity, culture, and community. (Image: Dr. Rusty Barrett courtesy of the University of Kentucky)
