Welcome to SSC Academic Skills Workshops

Connect With Others to Improve Your Skills!

resizedlogoimage

Our academic skills workshops (offered via Zoom in fall, winter, and spring) are a great way to connect with other students and share strategies for success. We also have a variety of online resources and videos to help you improve your skills.

Skills Workshops are on Zoom this winter!

In the fall, winter and spring, just click the link below to join a workshop – no need to register in advance. Follow the prompts on your screen to sign in and select from a list of available list of workshops below. Here are some more tips:

  • Plan to join the Zoom session a few minutes early in case of sign-in difficulty. You will use your CWID (student ID number) and birthdate to sign in.
  • Join audio and make sure to have a working microphone and speaker to interact with the presenter and other students. Turning on video is appreciated too!
  • If no one admits you to the Zoom session, check the schedule again. The Zoom room is only open when there's a workshop beginning.
  • If you get stuck during sign-in, there is a "Problems Signing In?" link that will take you directly to the Zoom session; the host will help you complete the sign-in after the session.
  • Need verification of attendance? We will provide a virtual verification screenshot at end of each session.
