Social Sciences and Humanities logoThe Social Sciences and Humanities Division has a cohort representation of hard-working and humble faculty members, who are highly involved in the classroom with students. They are known to be change agents, advocates, experts, and activists in their own right. Our faculty members are scientists who study aspects of our societies, human relationships, human behaviors, cultures, environment and how we influence the world around us. They are the heart and soul of our division and work on the front line to support De Anza’s mission and efforts in civic engagement, social justice, equity, access, service and opportunities. As you browse our division webpages, I encourage all of you to get a glimpse of their individual backgrounds and review our program offerings by clicking on the various discipline links.

Our division website will be featuring new and upcoming information, including stories, attributes and achievements, highlighted programs, college and district updates, and other important initiatives. So, feel free to explore! We look forward to answering any questions you might have. You can contact us for more information by sending an email to

Welcome again and see you around!
