Quick Notes
- Accessibility/RSI J1 Guide
- District Senate is planning two upcoming meetings in the next two months. These meetings will cover the updated J1 guides for accessibility/rsi but also include other high level discussions for those interested.
- Peralta Equity Conference
- Conference is open for registration and proposals to speak. It is free and online making it more accessible than most conferences. Materials are archived if you can't attend.
- Canvas Login Update
- Canvas will be updating the login page once we confirm with ETS there are no issues. This will likely happen soon, but the old login page will phase out at the end of June.
- Senate Updates
- Senate has a join resolution regarding parking spots at De Anza. Taking feedback now for those with concerns
- 18 tenure committees are formed and need at-large reps. Those interested please sign up
- The GE committee has done a lot of work regarding GE courses and the pattern at De Anza. Please review especially those this directly affects.
AI Survey Update
- The Institutional Research office has finalized the survey and plans to send it out in March to 20% of our student population.
- Feedback from our last meeting discussing this was able to be implemented in the final survey.
- Expect the data to be shared sometime in Spring quarter.
Update the COOL Charge
- Shared governance update involves updated tech committee and removing OAT due to being redundant.
- COOL is looking to broaden to charge to include some of what OAT discussed plus collaborating with the tech committee.
- A fifth charge was added to the document along with edits to the original four
- Discussions included what COOL's role is in shared governance, what recommendations we can make, and what some areas we can get involved are.
- Members should add feedback to the shared doc.
Good of the Order
- Gaby mentioned reviewing the curriculum forms and some upcoming changes to the process. CourseDog will be coming in place of eLumen once eLumen phases out.
Meeting adjourns at 12:00
