Graduation 2026
De Anza College held its 59th annual commencement celebration on Saturday, June 27, in the Stadium and Track on campus.

Grad Speaker and Award Winners
The 2026 student grad speaker was Louise Rodrigues, who graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Business Management and a Certificate in Communications and plans to continue her education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree while advancing her career in facilities management.
Two grads won the President's Award:
- Youssef Hassanein graduated with an associate degree for transfer in Psychology and transferring to UCLA
- Esmeralda Anai Rico-Gonzalez graduated with an associate degree in Liberal Arts and an advanced certificate in Child Development, with plans to begin a career supporting young children and families while continuing her education
The DeHart Award recipient was:
- Rey Claude Villaseñor, who graduated with an associate degree for transfer in Economics and is transferring to the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University
The Pister Scholarship recipients were:
- Juniper Astle, a Psychology major who is transferring to UC Santa Cruz to pursue a degree in Clinical Psychology
- Andrea Barraza, who majored in Law, Public Policy, and Society and completed a Certificate in Leadership and Social Change, and who will transfer to UC Santa Cruz to pursue a double major in Latin American and Latino Studies and Education, Democracy and Justice
