Real-World Skills for Public Service
Through our connection with the Vasconcellos Institute for Democracy in Action (VIDA), students can access programs rooted in civic action and social change right now. You can
- Take a leadership class – for college credit – to learn more about grassroots democracy, mentoring, advocacy, environmental sustainability, community organizing, nonprofits and more
- Earn an academic certificate in Leadership and Social Change, a recognized credential that demonstrates your commitment to making a difference
- Dive deeper by joining the Public Policy School, where you'll see up close how policies are made, shaped and implemented at the local and state level
High School Leadership Experience
Step into leadership this summer! Our not-for-credit high school leadership course gives students the chance to practice real-world leadership skills, from public speaking to problem solving.
Students will work in teams, explore issues that matter to them, and discover how they can be changemakers in their schools and communities.
