The Design and Manufacturing Technologies program at De Anza has been preparing students for highly paid, highly skilled work in Silicon Valley since 1967.

Program Information
De Anza's Automotive Technology Department partnered with a leading maker of autonomous and electric vehicles to create the Autonomous/Electric Vehicle Technician program.
- The program combines coursework in Automotive Technology (AUTO) as well as Computer Science (CIS) to give you the cutting-edge skills to work on such vehicles

Here’s How It Works
If you are granted the scholarship
- You agree to pursue a certificate in one of the sequences listed above, by taking all required courses in three consecutive quarters (one academic year)
- You will receive a $500 scholarship for each quarter – which you can use for tuition, fees or personal expenses – up to $1,500 for the academic year
- After the first quarter, you will receive your next stipend only if you complete the required courses taken in the previous quarter AND enroll in required courses for the new quarter

Scholarships are funded by the Metallica Scholars Initiative, a collaboration between All Within My Hands, which is the nonprofit philanthropic organization created by Metallica's members and management, and the American Association of Community Colleges. The initiative supports career technical education at dozens of community colleges around the country. De Anza is proud to be one of those colleges!
