The UndocuSolidarity Committee aims to provide training for Faculty, Staff, Students, and Administrators at De Anza College and beyond. We offer specified training for programs or groups and a two-part series provided every year for anyone who wants to attend. 

Two Part Series: 

This two-part training series is intended for staff, faculty, and managers. They are designed to develop and enhance working knowledge regarding providing service to and supporting De Anza’s undocumented student population*. More information regarding the purpose of each training is below.

2025 Schedule

Know Your Rights: De Anza and Beyond
📅 Date: Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 
Time: 2:00-3:30 PM
📍 Location: Online, Zoom
 
This training, led by an immigration attorney, will define who is undocumented, explain what it means for De Anza to be a sanctuary campus, and clarify where and how ICE can be lawfully present on school grounds.  Participants will also learn about California's new "Safe Havens" and "No Secret Police" laws, protections for student records, and the official De Anza ICE protocols and campus support process.
 
Sign in at the event for classified professional PGA, full-time faculty PD hours, or part-time faculty pay.

How to Request a Specified Presentation

For any managers, deans, or program coordinators requesting specified training, please e-mail Program Coordinator Shaila Ramos-Garcia at ramosshaila@fhda.edu, VIDA/HEFAS Program Coordinator Daniela Plascencia Delgado, plascenciadelgadodaniela@fhda.edu.

Specified Training is 4-6 hours long and requires the commitment of attendance for the entire time for any division, department, or program. We do research that provides information, advice, and a space to do a working group to improve support services, communications, or interactions with undocumented students.
