Pronouns: he/him/his- Major: Business Administration
- Hometown: Sunnyvale, CA
- Hobbies: Hiking, drawing, day-trip planning
- Goals at De Anza: One general student goal that I hope to accomplish at De Anza College is bringing the community within DASG and other school-based organizations closer together. I believe that socials play a key role in helping to not only create fun and forever lasting moments within College, but also gives the opportunity to create stronger bonds between individuals than just working together on specific projects. These small socials would happen monthly or once every two months and would be somewhere around De Anza College, so as many people could attend. There is great emphasis on creating strong friendships amongst your peers as it creates a more positive, supportive, and inclusive environment which is something that I believe DASG currently needs at the moment. I think having these socials also is a great way for anyone interested in DASG to attend to get any information on DASG itself and to know any current senators and interns in a more personal format. If possible, I would also like to push for more creative projects for promotional items such as stickers, toys, keychains, etc. I understand that there may be limitations due to budget and advisor permission, but I am hoping to give it a shot if given the opportunity.
- Why I Joined DASG: Student government has been something I was unable to do within high school as of my limited schedule, but many friends of my close friends who had joined found the experience to be very rewarding. Therefore, student government has been something that I wanted to get involved with as soon as I arrived at De Anza College for the Fall quarter. I am super glad that I joined DASG as it is the place where I have made the most friends and I feel that the work I do is very rewarding based on the gratitude and recognition of the current senators and interns. From my experience, there are a lot of great resources you can discover through DASG, which is why I believe it’s something most students should get involved in.

Dali Guerrero Fernandez | Equity and Diversity Officer
Pronouns: she/ her- Major: Political Science
- Hometown: East San Jose
- Hobbies: I love going out with friends, eating pho, advocacy, and photography!
- Goals at De Anza: Some of my goals at De Anza are to focus on outreach throughout campus. A large majority of students do not even know that a student government exists, and it is our duty to go out to classes, clubs, and spaces to speak and engage with students. I also want to put a huge emphasis on resources and expand such programs that support our marginalized communities. Programs like the Food Pantry and Therapy are such important programs that more students should be taking advantage for. Lastly, I want to increase the diversity on DASG and create a equitable and safe place for students from all backgrounds.
- Why I Joined DASG: I joined DASG because I did not see myself and my community represented throughout student government. I think one of the very first things I noticed about DASG was the lack of diversity within Senate. I want to change this because I believe that every student should feel seen and represented in places of leadership because representation truly matters. As a Latina, first generation, low income and undzcuemmtyed student, I bring so many identities and new perspectives that DASG would benefit from.
