    Business Item 1

    Title: Check In Game

This item is an icebreaker. Name Game.

    Business Item 2

    Title: Flea Market Updates

This item is to give an update on Flea Market Planning.

    Presenter: Anish, Rami

      • Rami: No updates. Next Flea Market is on November 2nd and the Mini Flea Market is on November 19. If you are interested in helping, the vendors will be selected in 2 weeks so you will be able to participate in helping then.

    Business Item 3

    Title: Open House Recap

This item is to review the Open House results, discuss key takeaways, and plan for improvement in future events.

    Presenters: Shiqi, Lauren, Jin Gi

    • Planning & Execution
      • Success: Strong teamwork with interns.
      • Challenges: Limited collaboration with ICC, Mentors, and OCL; more frequent meetings needed.
    • Event Success
      • Feedback: Attendees enjoyed learning but wanted more engaging activities (e.g., Monopoly, Uno). Bingo ended too quickly; more materials needed.
      • Improvements: Add interactive games, print more game sheets.
    • Attendance & Engagement
      • Turnout: Satisfactory, but sign-in sheets should be at the entrance.
      • Engagement: Mixed; more effort needed to retain attendees.
    • Logistics
      • Execution: Interns provided excellent support; senator participation was lacking.
      • Improvements: Clearer shift assignments and reminders.
    • Marketing & Promotion
      • Effectiveness: A-frames in the cafeteria helped; communication with Marketing needs improvement.

    Business Item 4

    Title: Club Day Recap

This item is to review the Club Day results, discuss key takeaways, and plan for improvement in future events.

    Presenters: Lauren, Jin Gi

    • Table Placement
      • Issues:
        • Table position was poor—too tight, blocked by speakers, and placed in front of the performer.
        • Performances created a large crowd, reducing interaction with the table.
      • Suggestions:
        • Request better table positioning or adjust the performance location in future events.
    • Volunteer Participation
      • Concerns:
        • Some volunteers were passive, standing idly during their shifts.
        • Lack of proactive engagement with attendees.
      • Recommendations:
        • Volunteers should represent DASG enthusiastically, answer questions, and actively participate in the event.
        • Ensure at least one senator is present to provide information when needed.
    • Additional Suggestions
      • Offer informational sheets to attendees.
      • Improve communication and preparedness to address prize or activity issues.

    Business Item 5

    Title: Homecoming Planning

This item is to discuss planning for Homecoming Planning.

    Presenters: Lauren, Jin Gi

    • Event Details
      • Date & Time: November 8, 5:30 PM – 9 PM.
      • Collaboration: Joint effort by ICC, Mentors, DASG Programs, and Marketing teams.
      • Discord Server: Volunteers can join the server to assist with planning and updates.
    • Logistics
      • Venue: Space reservation confirmation expected soon.
      • Budget:
        • $8000 allocated for food (covers both dance and pregame).
        • Potential reallocation for supplies pending cost estimates.
    • Attendance:
      • De Anza students only, unless non-students are registered as rentals (additional budget impact).
    • Planning Updates
      • ICC is recruiting interns and shifting focus to homecoming now that Club Day is over.
    • Planning Meetings: Wednesdays, 2-4 PM, ICC room.

    Business Item 6

    Title: Intern Restructure for Events

This item is to present the new structure for events.

    Presenters: Lauren, Jin Gi

    • New Internship Process
      • Requirements:
        • Attend 3 Programs meetings.
        • Complete 1 project.
        • Successfully pass an interview.
      • Opportunities for Prospective Interns: Participate in projects and volunteer to gain experience.
    • Intern Roles & Responsibilities
      • Leadership Opportunities:
        • Interns will manage prospective interns and lead or contribute to larger projects.
        • Delegate subtasks to prospective interns and take initiative in planning events.
      • Active Participation: Interns must commit to contributing time and effort, not just listing the role on applications.
    • Value of Internships
      • Offers a platform for leadership development and initiative-taking.
      • Provides valuable experience for those aspiring to become senators but is not solely a stepping stone for that goal.
    • Intern Projects
      • Defined as planning an event from start to finish.
      • Demonstrates commitment and hands-on involvement.
    • Next Steps
      • An interview session will follow today’s Programs meeting for those interested in becoming interns.
