Classes and Mentoring Opportunities
Learn Something New ~ Share Your Knowledge With Others

If you’re over 50, you probably know a thing or two. But that doesn’t mean you’re ready to stop learning.
De Anza College has partnered with Successful Aging Solutions and Community Consulting (SASCC), a nonprofit services provider based in the West Valley, to offer credit and noncredit courses especially selected for older adults who want to make the most of this phase of their lives.
Whether your goal is to prepare for your next chapter in life, increase your skills for today’s job environment, or simply broaden your knowledge, we've got classes for you.
We also have opportunities to share your experience and hard-earned wisdom with younger students at De Anza, by serving as a volunteer mentor in one of our Village Centers. These are physical spaces on campus – organized around groups of related majors – where our students, faculty and staff share relevant resources, join organized activities and meet others who have interests in common.
A Wide Range of Classes
In the listings below, you’ll find a wide range of offerings to expand your knowledge and skills – from art, languages, literature and science to practical career training in business, computer science, real estate and other fields.
While these classes were especially selected for their benefit to older adults, they are open for students of all ages, creating a rich environment for engaging and sharing different perspectives and wisdom.
In addition, several courses in Computer Science and Real Estate are offered with a noncredit option. Noncredit classes cover the same material that's taught when the course is taken for academic credit, but noncredit classes are tuition-free!
We think you’ll enjoy these opportunities!
