In Memory of Richard Ferrie

Dear Colleagues,
As we celebrate this season of commencement and year-end achievements, I write with the difficult news of the passing of one of our colleagues.
We have belatedly learned of the passing on June 4 of part-time English instructor Richard Ferrie. Known to many as Rick, he taught our students for almost two decades and served for more than 50 years as a high school and college instructor. Dean of Language Arts Thomas Ray had the opportunity to speak last night to Rick's wife, Josephine, who told Thomas that students had always been her husband's top priority.
