My Background

I have 30+ years of professional experience in marketing, corporate finance, management, strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, venture development, investment, data network design, and systems design & development in several industries, including telecommunications, information technology, entertainment, computer manufacturing, and financial services. Companies that I have worked with ranged from startups to Fortune 100 companies in the U.S. and internationally, including Japan, Australia, and the UK. Examples of my past professional experience included AT&T Bell Labs as a Member of the Technical Staff, at MCI as the Director of Corporate Development, and at IBM leading the development of the business plan of a new global service. I have worked in various capacities as a CEO & CFO in several startups, and as a partner or consultant in several international consulting firms, including Booz Allen, Gemini Consulting, McKenna, and TechSynergy.

I hold an MBA in Corporate Planning from Wharton Business School at Univ of Penn, a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University, as well as a B.S. in Applied Math and in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Psychology.

I enjoy traveling and hiking with my dogs. I hold a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I hope to see you in my classes.
