Celebrate 55 years of Asian American Studies at De Anza College! This special event honors the legacy and ongoing impact of the Asian American and Asian Studies (ASAM) Department through shared storytelling and collective memory.
The department will be presenting “Our Narrative: A History of Asian American Studies at De Anza,” an NEH-sponsored timeline project that documents the department’s history, from its grassroots beginnings to its role as a site of resistance, identity, and community. The program will also feature reflections from students, staff, and faculty—past and present—who have shaped and sustained ASAM over the decades.
