Flea Market Update

Description: This item is to update the finance committee regarding Flea Market and prepare for the upcoming Flea Market

• Flea Market Meeting in Student Lounge on November 6, 2023 from 3pm-4pm.
• Dayna S: 330 vendors, 39 new vendors. Sold 539 spaces out of 808 spaces.

Intern Process Update

Description: This item is to review and discuss the DASG Finance internship process and assign prospective interns with respective senator mentors.

• Look at preexisting programs that are asking for amounts. Will assign certain number of senator groups to interview programs. 
• Fall quarter will include final rankings. 
• Izat R and Nicholas T grouped senate based on budget categories; the purpose is to have members deliberate on budget proposals as well as conduct interviews. 
• Interviews will be conducted after emails; evaluate interviews and forms; Rubric is provided. 
• Have Izat send the rubric to post on within the minutes; he will also send over the template. 
• Hyon Chu: Note availability days/times; Emails sent out by tomorrow Tuesday, November 7, 2023 and meetings solidified by November 9, 2023. 
• Discussion over budget requests, due dates for final lists of programs that submitted as well as contacts. 
• Suggestion to streamline the specific role of interns within the budget deliberation process. 
• Senators will decide what to do for their interns in regards to the role of the interns during the interview process/budget deliberations.

Budget Form Rubric Evaluation

Description: This item is to review and discuss the rubric for evaluating the budget forms and interviews.

• Izat presented the item via the DASG website.

Finance Canvas Videos

Description: This item is to discuss the progress on the Finance Canvas Shell videos and to delegate tasks to finish it.

• Interns messaged Benjamin through Discord expressing interest.
• Benjamin is ready to start filiming this week or the next; will create a group chat to meet after the meeting. 
• Cast will be changing; adjust the script for future interns to come; intro will be Izat Rasyad. 
• Updates will be posted in the Finance chat + separate discord.
• This is a voluntary activity.
