The main objective of the A.A. degree programs is to help you gain employment or upgrade your skills in an occupation. 

A.A.-T. Degree in Journalism

If you complete an AA-T and meet the minimum eligibility requirements at De Anza, you are guaranteed priority admission consideration to the CSU system, though not to a specific campus. You can Explore Your Options on the CSU Student Transfer website.

Public Relations Certificates NEW!

De Anza College's Certificate in Public Relations and Certificate in Public Relations-Advanced help prepare students for careers in public relations and related fields. Students can earn a certificate and a degree concurrently.

General Education Requirements

We offer a variety of Journalism courses that may be applied toward General Education (GE) requirements. Go to De Anza's Counseling and Advising Center to determine which Journalism and Mass Communication courses fit into your academic plan.
