Develop additional curriculum that addresses roots of civic learning and social change, and create additional opportunities for student engagement with community issues that develop understanding of key issues impacting their lives.

The professional development and presentations can include examples of how courses are currently incorporating these aspects and diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) practices into their curriculum.

Develop buy-in from deans and Academic Senate for this approach to curriculum.

Winter 2025

Assess the extent to which the GE goal in this area are being adhered to.

Develop/create Canvas shells as part of curriculum that staff and faculty can access and learn from related to community and civic engagement.
