Course Description
This course is an introduction to De Anza College that includes information about programs, services, policies, degrees, certificates, transfer requirements, and college culture. Students will focus on strategies needed for academic success and development of a preliminary Comprehensive Educational Plan.

COUN-005.4NY: This COUN 5 section is designated for International Students. Please contact Manija Ansari at ansarimanija@fhda.edu to add. This class meets in-person four times, on Friday 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, and 10/25. The rest of the class meeting is online asynchronously. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. Most De Anza classes will use the Canvas course management system. We recommend a computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests.
