    Business Item 1

    Honors Program Funding Request

    • John Francis presented about the honors program and the usage of the funding.
      • Q: has DASG funded honors in the past?
A: DASG has been supporting the honors program for many years. Honors program has budget requests for 24-25, but not the current fiscal year. Honors had a period of of time when they did not have a coordinator, that may explain some of the gaps in funding requests.
      • Q: Will Honors have the symposium at Stanford, and how will that be funded?
A: Yes we will have the honors symposium at Stanford, and that will be funded using alternative sources outside of DASG. We want to expand the program to include more opportunities for students, which is why we are asking for assistance from DASG.
    • Salvadore motions to approve $700 for the De Anza Honors Program from Special Allocations, with $150 for Supplies (4010), $300 for Promotional Items (4013), and $250 for Printing (4060).
