The election will take place from May 20th to May 24th, with elected members announced on May 28th, 2024. 📅

Officer Positions (1 Year Term): President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Communications Officer, and Secretary

Areas of Focus (2 Year Term): Equity and Engagement, Budget and Planning, Operational and Facilities, and Student Services and Technology

Who We Are
The Classified Senate is comprised of members of the Executive Committee which functions as the administration of the senate, Senators who represent different Areas of Focus within the college's broader shared governance structure, Chairs of the Professional Development Committee and the Equity, Inclusion and Recognition Committee, and a representative from the De Anza Student Government (DASG), with optional representation from the Academic Senate and classified professional collective bargaining units.
What We Do
The Classified Senate represents all classified professional members who work on the De Anza campus; are permanent or probationary employees of the District who may be confidential or supervisory classifications but not management.

It shall be the function of the Classified Senate to participate in the governance of De Anza College, to provide a centralized means of communication among Classified Professionals and with the rest of the college community, become thoroughly acquainted with the Bylaws and Constitution of this organization so as to be able to explain and interpret to their sections, carry out the purpose to actively promote professionalism with the Classified Senate, and to enhance staff development.
