presentation as part of your grade, think about your topic. All topics
must be proposed in writing, they must be very specific, not vague, and they
must be approved by instructor.
Also please indicate if you are making short presentation or long Sign up for

AFTER you receive written approval on your topic.(You can send your
proposal to me via email or bring to class, Don't wait too long to decide:

-Get your book. Read
Chapters 1-4. Suggestion: outline key points for each chapter; list art
vocabulary words as you encounter them, think critically as you read, jot down
questions if you do not understand.
-Bring your textbook to
class on Thursday.
-Visit the following
website, examine MANY of the art lamps and/or clocks (note prices!!!)

-Jot down any thoughts
about your own possible project that incorporates light as a key element, a
three dimensional expression that is uniquely you. Try to capture your ideas
when they come up- write them down, draw a sketch, write down key words etc. It
would be a shame to loose your great ideas.
-Visit instructor's web
site again Wed. night or Thursday early AM (before class) to check for proposal
of activities and point values. Please come prepared to revise, if necessary,
and finalize our objectives.
